I can remember what it's like to struggle when learning. I am passionate about helping my students find ease in what they are doing. I want to breathe passion into my subject area and assist all students to realise, for most, they've studied economics their entire lives. I want to make the subject relatable and enjoyable

I have taught the QCAA economics syllabus for more than 10 years to students at Brisbane Girls Grammar School and other top Brisbane private schools. My students have regularly achieved "A" standard results with top students achieving 100% each year. I have also been coordinator of evening study at BGGS and sat on the board of the Queensland Economics Teachers Association.
My sessions aim to assist students across all levels. I am a teacher that is able to simplify concepts into plain English by relating what students already do well or what they are interested in with their economics studies. During my career I have worked across the board, whether it's helping students to find pass marks or to maximise their learning to the point they never lose marks during assessment. I am passionate about economics and have enjoyed real world experience working in investment banks, recruitment, accounting and sports management prior to teaching.
I can help students in high school or first year university. I can assist with problem areas, provide help with assignments, exam preparation for both internal and external exams, better understand the QCAA syllabus or provide preparation for the cross over to University. I have over 10 years of resources at my finger tips.

Perfect! James’ experience as a senior Economics teacher at top schools like Brisbane Girls Grammar allows him to provide his students with a high number of helpful resources.
He explains concepts in a clear way, and his insights into the senior curriculum have made my first term of Economics far more manageable.
I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.- Student works extremely hard and has wonderful engagement. Strong sessions. Successful.James's response :
