About Caoimhe
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, a Master’s degree in Translational Medicine and a PGCE in Education.
I have taught students aged 13–18 from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, including students from international backgrounds.
I’m passionate about Biology and love helping students discover that the subject can be much more interesting and manageable than they might initially think. I take pride in building positive relationships with my students and getting to know what motivates them as individuals.
Over the years, I have supported students with everything from developing their understanding of key Biology concepts to preparing for important exams. Seeing a student’s confidence grow and watching them achieve something they previously found difficult is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

My aim is to make Biology engaging, understandable and enjoyable while helping students build confidence in their own abilities. I break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s individual needs, learning style and level.
My lessons are interactive and can include diagrams, visuals, real-life examples, quizzes, exam-style questions and discussion to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorize them.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are delivered online. I teach secondary school students across a range of abilities and levels.
Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for exams, improving their confidence or simply wants to get better at Biology, I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy the learning process.
