About Felicity
Hi, my name's Lissy! I qualified as a lawyer in 2018. Having worked five years in practice, shortly after my qualifying, I took to the skies to travel around this wonderful world of ours.
During my travels, I taught English as a foreign language on a volunteer basis, in Vietnam. I loved working with the kids and designing games to play around language to encourage fun learning. It was also greatly rewarding for me to help the University students get ready for their IELTS and encourage them to engage in lively classroom debates.
I am fascinated with the English language and have always enjoyed writing - it brings me to a place of peace and helps to settle a muddled mind. I have an ever expanding vocabulary and enjoy word play and constructing technical arguments... for the court room, of course!!
I feel very at home on the road: seeing new places, immersing myself in vibrant cultures and making new friends from all over the world! You will usually find me on the beach with salty hair and sand in my toes or in the bush or forest communing with the trees and birds.

My personal approach to tutoring is one which encourages the student to feel safe to learn and grow. I am very down to earth and try to bring the best out of each of my students, no matter where they are on their English journey.
I offer my first lesson for free, so that we can get to know each other. It is important that I have a good idea of the students needs, goals and intentions for our time together. This can help me craft the lessons to align fully with those goals and help get the best out of our lessons.
