About Riya
I got into tutoring because I remember what it’s like to be confused by a concept that seemed simple in a lecture but fell apart in a real transaction. I teach by building understanding from the ground up — logic first, then mechanics — so it actually sticks.
Outside of tutoring, I’m based in London, training for my first HYROX event, and someone who likes structure and a clear plan — which probably comes through in how I teach too.

I work across financial reporting, accounting standards, and how businesses actually put numbers together in practice — not just theory. My teaching style is direct and structured: I break a topic down to the logic behind it first, then work through the mechanics, so you understand why something works rather than just memorising a rule. I’m especially useful if you want to actually understand how concepts show up in a real set of accounts, since that’s what I do day to day.
