About Zahra
I am a qualified ESOL tutor with several years' experience in teaching students at all levels and abilities. I have taught in language schools and independently in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. I have also taught online which was highly successful. My main aim is to ensure the maximum learning experience students will gain through practice and with a range of resources for their level and abilities. I have background knowledge and skills in biomedical science, general science, medical subjects and other related subjects. I have transferable skills so can often accommodate other specialist subjects and areas such as personal and professional development coaching, CV enhancing job interview techniques.

My teaching methods vary according to the student's preference and learning needs using mainly online teaching. This is convenient for students and benefits them with the diversity of online resources. Essentially, my approach is through enhanced communication, practice and allowing the student to grasp the main theme of the subject area. This is usually delivered in small manageable learning pieces but with the aim for the student to learn at their own pace as well as motivating them, making it fun and allowing them to achieve their best. I utilise conversational English practice supporting the students to engage with the four key skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grammar, punctuation and vocabulary practice is incorporated with the main topics and themes for the lessons. The lessons are planned with the student's topic interests and personal needs according to how they wish to learn. Students are supported with pronunciation, correction and feedback which helps motivation and reinforces the learning.

Details
The teaching will be online. The teaching can be weekday or weekend. The students can arrange lessons after the lesson or pre-book days. May vary according to the intensity of learning needs and content. If there are problems or some other issue such as internet connection the student only pays for 50% of the lesson next time. If the student cancels before 1 hour prior to starting the lesson there is no charge. If the cancellation is made during this period then a £5 charge is applied.
