My teaching centres around creating a welcoming and fun environment where children feel safe to take risks to further their development.
I value learners' individual interests and learning styles and strive to incorporate these into my teaching to best engage and support learners. The typical length of a lesson will vary based on individual needs and targeted skills, typically for children in reception and younger I would offer a 30-minute session, from Year 1 I would extend this to 45 minutes to an hour. Session length can also vary based on the homework length, if the homework is short I would recommend combining this with subject tutoring (package price negotiable). During every lesson breaks will be available as needed, longer sessions can be accommodated where appropriate.
I typically offer lessons for children from age 4-11 and can adapt lessons to meet learners' current understanding and challenge them to progress. I am able to support children in subjects across the National Curriculum, often focusing on reading, phonics, writing, mathematics as well as social and emotional development. I can also work with young children to develop their school readiness skills and prepare them to transition into Primary School.
