About Emily
With 8 years of experience in teaching guitar, I’ve worked with students of many levels—from school beginners to college performers. I believe in setting clear goals and guiding students step-by-step. Whether a student wants to play their favorite songs, pass a music exam, or perform on stage, I help them reach their goals with focus and care. One of my biggest teaching moments was when a student got accepted into a music college after working hard with me for eight years. That success was shared between us, and it’s moments like these that keep me motivated as a tutor. I teach with purpose, energy, and a love for music that I hope to pass on to every student.

My teaching philosophy centers on personalized learning, motivation, and creativity. Guitar is an instrument of self-expression, and I help students find their voice by tailoring lessons to their interests and skill levels. We begin by setting clear, achievable goals and focus on steady progress. Communication is key to my lessons. I ensure every concept is explained clearly and patiently.
Students always feel comfortable to ask questions or express concerns. I listen carefully to feedback and adjust lessons as needed. Motivation keeps students inspired. I celebrate every success, big or small, and use positive reinforcement to build confidence. Creativity keeps lessons engaging. We explore different playing styles, learn songs, and use improvisation to spark imagination.
Integrity guides my teaching. I provide honest, respectful feedback and maintain a trustworthy relationship with every student. I also offer knowledge in related music subjects such as music theory, ear training, and rhythm. This comprehensive approach helps students build skills and enjoy music for life.
