About James

I'm really passionate about maths and my passion is infectious, I make the most complex problems extremely simple by breaking them down into smaller steps and explaining each step. I'm really good at teaching algebra, real world maths and improving the confidence of my students.

About the lesson

My approach is to break problems down into smaller problems, I aim to get my students to understand why a method works and to not simply just apply it. Once I know that you understand the method then we practise textbook questions together and following this we practise exam questions. Most of my lessons are 1 hour long and my lessons are for secondary school students from years 7 to 11 or adults that want to learn and recap real life maths or who want to re-take their GCSE exams.

He taught me a few simple methods that were very easy to understand and apply, and I'm now much more confident working out percentages as a result.
