About Matt

I’m Matt, a qualified personal trainer with a background in biology and years of experience across strength training, rugby and combat sports.

I got into coaching because I genuinely enjoy helping people build confidence, make progress and realise they’re capable of more than they thought.

My style is supportive, energetic and straightforward, with training adapted to the individual rather than forcing everyone into the same template.

About the lesson

I’m Matt, a level 3 qualified Personal Trainer based at PureGym Reading - Basingstoke Road, helping people build confidence, get stronger, lose weight, improve their fitness and perform better in sport.

I work with everyone from complete beginners to experienced gym-goers, with training tailored to your goals, ability and lifestyle. Particular strengths include sustainable weight loss, strength and weightlifting, combat fitness, sports performance and event preparation.

I offer 1-to-1 and 2-to-1 personal training, programme design and online coaching, with an inclusive, supportive approach and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Please note that you can access my gym for free as part of your free first lesson, but for subsequent lessons gym membership is required and advertised prices do not include this.
