About Dimitris
I studied pharmacy at the Medway School of Pharmacy in the UK, where I obtained my diploma (4-year MPharm). I went on to work for Boots, where I obtained my licence to practise from the GPhC. Ever since I went travelling in Asia, completed my military service, and now I live in Amsterdam, studying Medical Informatics. All these experiences have made the power of knowledge transparent to me, which I want to transfer to others.

I can teach to anyone from school level to pre-registration trainees. This includes pre-university school students, pharmacy/pharmacology students, pre-registration trainees, technicians, and anyone who is eager to learn about medicines. I use the 7-step problem based learning method which I acquired during my degree. Firstly, we discuss a case study that I bring to the class. We define the main question, and then we brainstorm on all the possible scenarios. Then we analyse/cluster the results and formulate goals. The student then goes on to self-study on those learning goals, and then we discuss the findings together during the next class.
This structure serves my methodology well, which is that class should be a back-and-forth discussion, rather than me talking for 40 minutes. I greatly enjoy passing knowledge and that is reflected in my teaching.
