Drama and LAMDA is not simply about the final goal; it is about the journey of exploration, creativity, and growth that takes place along the way.
I value every student's individuality and strive to create opportunities that recognise and develop their unique strengths. By building on students' interests and abilities, I encourage them to take ownership of their learning and achieve their potential.
I am deeply passionate about Drama and believe that enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. My lessons are a safe, inclusive learning environment where students feel respected, supported, and confident to take creative risks without fear of judgement.
In my lessons, I aim to build confidence, develop strong Oracy and communication skills, and nurture analytical thinking. Students learn not only to perform, but also to reflect, evaluate and engage critically with ideas, preparing them with valuable skills that extend far beyond my lessons.
Lessons can be provided for all levels, ages and abilities, as well as SEND in Solo/Duo and Group environments.
LAMDA Grades 6, 7 and 8 are also worth UCAS points, so they could even help secure a place on higher education courses. As well as credits towards DofE.

Julia has been teaching our daughter LAMDA for 3 years. Her confidence and performance skills have grown significantly in that time and she really enjoys the classes. Our daughter has done three exams, all with a distinction. I would highly recommend Julia!
I am delighted to recommend Julia as a LAMDA tutor. Under her guidance, my son progressed through Grades 1 to 7 with real dedication and growing confidence, achieving excellent results at every stage. Julia combines genuine expertise with patience. My son has grown immensely in confidence, articulation, and stage presence, and much of that is thanks to Julia’s thoughtful, encouraging teaching style. I recommend her wholeheartedly to any family seeking a truly excellent LAMDA teacher.
Julia has been teaching our son for a few years now and the improvement in his technique, his confidence and performance has been incredible. Julia has high standards, yet she is kind and makes her sessions enjoyable. We couldn't recommend her more!
Julia is a very positive and helpful teacher, putting students at ease while encouraging high standards from all. Highly recommend her acting lessons, particularly those young people in taking LAMDA assessments.
