About Monica
I was a high school teacher for three years, but I discovered that I prefer tutoring one-on-one or in small groups than teaching large classes. I love teaching English because I enjoy seeing the progress students make and watching them grow both in their English skills and as a person! I see the potential in all of my students, even when sometimes they don’t see it in themselves, and I make sure to differentiate my teaching to adapt to the needs of each individual student.

I have a Diploma of Secondary Teaching from Auckland University of Technology, and I was a high school teacher for three years. Although I no longer work in education full-time, I teach ESL and English casually online. I have taught all levels, and I have experience tutoring both ESL and NCEA English.
