About Andria
From nurturing my children's development—especially as an advocate for my son who is on the spectrum —to stepping back into teaching after years as a stay-at-home mom, I have navigated some truly transformative experiences. My background in English literature brings a rich perspective to teaching. My love for language and stories might inspire your students and even help foster creativity in their learning. Homeschooling was a unique and beautiful experience, requiring adaptability and patience. I am growing every day....helping children grow at their pace is what I try to allow with grace and understanding.

Reading Comprehension:
Reading comprehension is the ability to understand, interpret, and draw meaning from written text. It involves skills such as identifying the main idea, making inferences, understanding vocabulary in context, and analyzing the author's purpose or tone. Strong comprehension skills are essential for academic success and lifelong learning.
Spalding Tutor:
A Spalding tutor uses the Spalding Method, a multisensory, structured literacy approach designed to teach reading, writing, and spelling. It emphasizes phonics, handwriting, and integrated language arts instruction. Tutors guide students through systematic lessons that build foundational literacy skills, often supporting those with dyslexia or other reading difficulties.
