My teaching approach for reading is completely dependent on the student and his/her needs. If the student just needs help focusing, I am willing to teach the student how to create an environment that helps them to stay focused. If the student needs help with more advanced skills (phoenix, reading comprehension, application of ideas, etc.,) I would create a plan individualized to that student and his/her experience and learning goals.
