About Imama
I have graduated High school this year, and will be studying direct entry Medicine next year in the UK. I achieved excellent grades in the 7 AP classes I took in High school, was on the Gold honor roll every year, and achieved averages of 95 and above in all my Diploma level Biology classes. Having taken both Diploma and AP Biology, I know exactly what level of knowledge is required for each qualification. My passion for biological science goes outside the classroom, having completed a Silver Medal winning science project on the changes in neuronal morphology of mice as it relates to zinc and depression, I strive to help my students acquire a real world, problem based understanding of Biology. I tutor Science 10, as well as Biology 20 and 30.

I am to simplify biological processes and structures for my students by ensuring the knowledge comes form a conceptual basis. From my own studies, I've found it much easier to retain information about Biology if I can understand the evolutionary reason for why organisms have developed in such specific structures in such specific ways. As well, I like to go through a few example exam problems to consolidate knowledge as well as build test taking skills.
