My approach to tutoring is centred around building confidence, encouraging curiosity and helping students develop the skills they need to succeed independently. I believe the best learning happens when students are actively engaged, so my lessons focus on discussion, questioning, critical thinking and applying knowledge rather than simply memorising information.
I tailor each lesson to the individual student's needs, whether that involves improving essay writing, developing exam techniques, analysing historical sources, strengthening subject knowledge or preparing for assessments. I use a range of methods, including structured explanations, guided discussion, source analysis exercises and practice questions, to help students understand difficult concepts and develop stronger analytical skills.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt sessions depending on the student's age, level and learning objectives
