About Dr Colin
After more than 30 years as a health professional, my greatest lessons have come not only from working with others, but from navigating my own challenges. A serious mountain biking accident, years of persistent pain and later significant spinal issues led me to explore meditation, nervous-system regulation, stillness and self-inquiry at a much deeper level.
Insight Meditation and silent retreats became an important part of my own recovery and helped me understand the relationship between the body, mind, pain and the way we navigate life.
I now teach and mentor because I want to share what I’ve learned—professionally and personally—to help others regulate stress and pain, reconnect with themselves, develop greater self-leadership, and find more clarity around what matters, where they are heading and how they want to live.

As a health professional of 30+ years, I combine traditional eastern and western practices with a practical understanding of the nervous system, pain, stress and recovery.
My teaching goes beyond learning to meditate. I help people develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation and self-leadership; explore practical and therapeutic approaches to stress and pain regulation; reconnect with their body and inner signals; and create space for greater clarity around life direction, passions and purpose.
Sessions can include Insight Meditation, breath and nervous-system regulation practices, body awareness and interoception, working with stress and tension, recovery practices and exploring the choices and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. As well as practical steps and options to promote renewed healing and progress.
My approach is practical, grounded and individual. Whether you are looking to simply establish a meditation practice, navigate a period of change, better manage stress or chronic pain, or simply gain greater clarity about yourself and where you are heading or want to go, I can tailor our work to what is most useful for you.
