As a tutor with a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), my approach is structured, data-driven, and individualized to each learner. I focus on breaking down complex skills into smaller, manageable steps while using reinforcement and repetition to promote mastery and long-term retention.

Teaching Method & Techniques

My teaching style is rooted in ABA principles. I use techniques such as:

Task analysis to break skills into teachable steps
Prompting and prompt fading to support independence
Positive reinforcement to increase motivation and engagement
Modeling and errorless teaching to reduce frustration and build confidence
Data collection to track progress and adjust instruction as needed

I also prioritize pairing and rapport-building, because I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and supported.

Typical Lesson Plan

A typical session includes:

Warm-up / Pairing – Building rapport and reviewing mastered skills
Skill Acquisition – Teaching new targets using structured trials or natural environment teaching (NET)
Practice & Generalization – Applying skills across different settings, materials, or scenarios
Reinforcement & Breaks – Keeping motivation high with preferred activities
Data Collection & Review – Monitoring progress and identifying next steps

Each session is flexible and adjusted based on the learner’s behavior, attention, and performance.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What makes me different is my ability to combine clinical ABA strategies with patience and adaptability. I don’t just teach content—I focus on how the learner learns. I’m very attentive to behavior, motivation, and emotional state, and I adjust my teaching style in real-time to meet those needs.

I also have hands-on experience working with clients who have diverse learning needs, which allows me to remain calm, consistent, and effective even in challenging situations.

Who My Lessons Are For

My tutoring is best suited for:

Early learners and school-age children
Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delays
Students needing support with communication, social skills, and academic readiness
Learners who benefit from structured, step-by-step instruction

I can also support individuals working on functional life skills, behavior regulation, and independence.
