About Majesta
I am a young professional with a Doctorate in Education. A paid tutor since 2014, I have been hired by colleges, private boarding schools, local and national tutoring agencies, individuals and families. I have worked with students from middle to graduate school levels, particularly those in high school and undergrad, including international students, students with academic accommodations, and those coping with psychological/emotional struggles.

I teach to help students understand. I find that many students benefit greatly from a teacher willing to explain the content differently so that it makes the most sense to you and your brain, including tips and tricks that simplify the process or make it easier for you to remember the material.
Subjects: most biologies and chemistries, health and medical based courses, algebra and geometry, and writing improvements, including personal statements/college application essays.
Struggling students typically work with me 1-3 hours a week and see a 15-20% increase in their course grade, equivalent to one and a half to two letter grades. Other students find it helpful to meet with me for 1-2 hours weekly or biweekly, used as a designated time to complete assignments for one or more subjects myself available to check answers, compare work, and explain anything unclear. Writing students usually organize as-needed sessions that range from help brainstorming to final edits when a paper deadline is approaching.
