About Puru

I completed a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in Astrophysics, Mathematics and Cognitive Sciences. Following this, I completed my master's degree in Software Engineering in 2020, and currently work as a Data Analyst for an Environmental technology company. I tutored college bound students and many freshman and sophomore students in various Math courses.

I love to teach and it really motivates me when a student is able to understand concepts better and learn to apply them in different ways. I also recognize that every student learns at their own pace, which I am really considerate towards. I have been tutoring AP level math courses, college level math courses and SAT Prep as a freelancer for more than 3 years. I have taught more than 10 (3-4 student sized) groups in Math and test prep along with more than 20 one-on-one students. They have observed better grades and test scores and above all, leave with more familiarity, comfort and confidence with understanding complex topics.

About the lesson

Hello everyone! My name is Puru and I love to teach.
I like to go above and beyond for my students. I give students time to practice during our sessions, give them extra practice materials when necessary or requested and am available to promptly respond to them via email and phone. I want to build your foundational knowledge and help you ace you assignments, tests, exams, and the subject overall. I also welcome feedback from parents and tutees. So, let's schedule your first lesson soon!
