Preparation for the French bac

SAT tutoring in a group by an economics and industrial engineering graduate (+other options!)

About Jon

I have two degrees in mathematics-heavy subjects:
- Economics (from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada)
- Industrial Engineering (from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

I completed University of California's short "Tutoring and Teaching Math for Understanding" course on Coursera in March 2026.

I only do virtual / online sessions.

In my spare time, I can be found reading (e.g. The Wheel of Time series), fixing things around the house, and taking my dog to the park.

About the lesson

In our virtual tutorials, we will go over practice exam questions for the SAT. I get students to try each question first, and I explain the questions where they get stuck.

These tutorials are for individuals preparing for the SAT exam.

I have known Jon for over six years, and I can say that he has the qualities of a great tutor. He is patient and has strong communication skills, using clear and understandable language. He also goes above and beyond when explaining things, and he won’t hesitate to adapt his teaching approach to ensure the person is learning. His dedication and commitment ensure that the student understands whatever topic they are learning.

I highly recommend Jon to you!

He is kind, perceptive, and enthusiastic. Very smart. He has a lot of cross-cultural experience. He understands the challenges and joys of learning mathematics and languages. He’s been there. Jon will work hard for you. He is superb at math.

He has a fun sense of humor. I know you will enjoy laughing with him. I do. He listens and knows how to teach.

I am Jon’s proud father.
