About Emily
My name is Emily Choong. I went to a boarding school in the UK where I studied math, further math, physics and chemistry. I studied under very good teachers who taught me not only the content but important exam skills and techniques which I would love to teach to others as well. I obtained 4 A*s so I am confident in my study methods. I hope to be able to help others in their academics and teach students to enjoy the subject rather than mugging for exams.

Hello! My way of tutoring should make learning fun and effortless;
I will provide:
- detailed notes which I have personally used
- help with schoolwork
- topic/ weekly tests
- study plan
- exam preparation
My notes are all online so the can be shared easily. I will tutor you through zoom calls or face time, whichever works best.
I will teach on pen and paper because I explain best with diagrams and annotations. Work will be sent as pdf files which you can work on digitally or print out and I will mark and go through them with you. I will make tests specifically for you based on your common mistakes.
My goal is to help you at least get an A. I will teach the content but from experience, the most effective way to score is from practice so my method is focused on doing practice tests and papers and then going through them to find weak spots.
I am aware that not everyone has a great attention span so my lessons will be tailored to how long your study intervals would like to be. It will not be intensive sessions but more of building a strong foundation and getting to know what study methods work for you.
I have tutored many of my peers, juniors and even primary school kids so I am used to teaching at different paces and at different levels.
I hope you learn something at the end of each lesson but of course in a non stressful way :D
