About Lily

I have a Bachelor of Film and Television, majoring in Screenwriting. After completing my degree, I started a small production company with a fellow alumni, making showreel pieces for actors to flaunt their acting skills, as well as making short films and marketing content for other businesses.

Since moving to Canada from Australia four years ago, I have worked with fellow screenwriters - giving feedback to develop or polish their scripts, I've worked for Coverfly - doing the same, and have moved into writing for independent video games, working on several projects.

I am passionate about writing and love to discuss whatever you bring to the table! I want to make sure YOU are passionate about what you're writing, whether you know what that is or not, we can figure it out together!

About the lesson

I will design a lesson plan tailored to your experience level, as well as movie and genre interests, so that not only will you learn, you'll be having fun as we discuss the scripts of some of your favourite films.

Depending on your scriptwriting goals or experience level, we will cover:
- The fundamentals of screenwriting (e.g. story structure, character and story arcs, theme etc.)
- How to write and format a script to industry standard.
- The tenants that make a story or script unforgettable.
- Understanding how genre functions and how you can use tropes to your advantage or to experiment.

I also offer script feedback and development sessions for those that have moved beyond a beginner level, and would like feedback on their scripts.
- You'll receive feedback on story, story structure, pacing, tension, theme, character voices and arcs, screenplay formatting and more!

No matter the genre or stories you like to write, I will support you in making your work shine!
