About Jasmine
I’m a second-year psychology student at Durham University, currently studying in the UK. I’m a native speaker of both Mandarin and Cantonese, and I use Chinese in my everyday life, so you’ll be learning how people actually speak, not just textbook phrases. I’ve helped children learn Chinese before, and I love making lessons feel relaxed, fun, and not intimidating at all. I’m super patient and organised, but also very chill — think structured lessons but with good vibes, not pressure. My teaching style is interactive and a bit Gen Z-coded, so expect games, real-life conversations, and learning that actually sticks. 很期待與你們見面！

- My lessons focus on building a strong foundation in speaking, listening, and basic reading through interactive and practical activities
- I use a fun and engaging teaching style, including conversations, games, and real-life scenarios to help students learn naturally and confidently
- Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, with a clear structure while still adapting to each student’s pace and needs
- I create personalised lesson plans to suit beginners, especially children or anyone new to Mandarin or Cantonese
- With experience supporting young learners, I ensure lessons are patient, encouraging, and easy to follow
- I incorporate both traditional and simplified Chinese depending on the student’s preference
- My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, relaxed, and motivating so students feel confident using Chinese in real life
