About Emma
My name is Emma and I've been working in the education sector since I graduated with a BA in English in 2013 from the University of Birmingham. I've worked at a primary school, a special educational needs school and at a couple of local secondary schools.
I've held a number of roles since completing my teacher training, including responsibility for KS3 (Years 7-9) and most recently KS5 (A Level). I have experience in planning units of study and creating lessons and resources for the department to use.
I have been both a KS4 and KS5 form tutor so have experience with the UCAS application process.
I have experience in exam preparation and coursework writing/ marking.

If you have any specific interests or areas of concern, please do let me know so that we can cover it.
I have experience teaching a number of exam boards and can adapt sessions to suit what areas you feel will benefit you most.
My first lesson would be a 'getting to know you' lesson, understanding what areas of focus you'd like to work on and gaining an idea of your current working at grade through assessing a piece of writing.
