About Blaine
Actually, I started teaching chess quite a long time ago, finding that king safety, endgame technique, and a competitive mindset form the bedrock of a solid game. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Nanyang Technological University, I have spent 13 years teaching 487 students how to master opening repertoire building, pawn structures, board vision, recording and notation, tactical patterns, and game analysis. It is quite satisfying to watch a student develop a sharp, intuitive sense for the game over time.
