About Denise
I’m Dr. Denise Simonelli, the founder of Reading Tutor RX. With degrees from Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Rutgers University College of Pharmacy, I bring a unique background to the world of dyslexia and language-based learning challenges—one that was profoundly shaped by my own son’s diagnosis. My journey has been driven by continuous education and a passion for helping students thrive. At Reading Tutor RX, I proudly serve as a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor specializing in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. This training allows me to offer targeted, individualized support to students who need it most. Meaningful learning begins with connection. When we truly connect with a student, the learning experience becomes a powerful journey of growth, confidence, and discovery.

I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old that I have tutored by Denise after school. She assist them with their homework, as well as supports them with classroom assignments and executive function task. Both children have different learning abilities and styles and she is able to accommodate each of their learning styles and needs. When I mentioning that we have a “tutor day” I’m not met with “ oh man do we have to” but rather a smile and an enthusiastic yesssss. She provides them with confidence, motivation and encouragement.
