Singing is a personal experience. I am here to help you build a healthy relationship with your voice and celebrate its uniqueness! I have had the opportunity to work with clients in varying skill levels and different backgrounds. Here are some of the things that we can work on during our sessions: - Vocal Technique (posture & alignment, breath management, ear training, vocal range and agility, tension release, resonance, etc) - Song work (Musical Theatre, Contemporary & Classical) - Acting Through Song (interpreting your material, text work) - Repertoire Building (finding songs that would best suit your voice and will showcase your vocal abilities) - Performance Coaching (working through your song/s for performances, shows/gigs & auditions) - Drama / Music School Audition Preparation (I have clients who are now studying at Juilliard, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Manhattan School of Music and AMDA as well as clients working in Disney and Universal Studios) If you share the same love and passion for singing, then I'm sure working together will be an amazing experience. Looking forward to get to know you and your voice! ***Session Rates*** BASIC SESSION | £30 / 30mins STANDARD SESSION | £45 / 50mins CYCLE (50mins x 8) | £325 — save £35! Ms. Melisa is not just a trustworthy tutor, she’s like a friend who agrees on helping you to improve. Not only do I get to learn a lot from her, I also have so much fun during our sessions. Her techniques when it comes to music & teaching is inimitable. It’s just feels really amazing to have a teacher and a friend at the same time :))
Melisa is a trustworthy tutor because she does research on the styles she teaches, she knows them in and out, she is an amazing performer herself and she has all the tools needed to help her students reach their potential. %200 recommended!
Melisa has been the voice teacher to my entire family (me, my husband, my parents & my sister) for about 2 years now! I highly highly recommend Melisa because she teaches you that truly ANYONE can sing if just taught properly. She allowed us to understand our strengths and also how to improve our voice & stamina to constant practice and training. She is also the most pleasant and encouraging teacher at that! With Melisa, anyone can learn to sing well!
I have known Melisa for years and can attest that she is more than capable in handling voice students of varying ages and ability. She is very patient and approachable, and can get along well with her clients. 100% recommended!
Teacher Mel was my vocal coach for several months. She is very dedicated to her students. She takes note of your strengths, weaknesses, and nuances unique to you that other coaches may fail to address. I have never trained with anyone as kind and generous as her. She never held back on sharing tips and tricks to make you a better performer. Any student who falls under her care is definitely a lucky one.
I've been working with Melisa for over 2 years now. Voice lessons with her started as a simple hobby, and Melisa has helped me develop this into a deep and satisfying passion of mine that brings me true happiness. I've already referred some relatives to her for voice lessons. If you're thinking of taking voice lessons, it's a no-brainer with Melisa. My voice has improved so much in the past 2 years and I'm more confident in myself as a singer. Highly recommended!
