About Isla
With over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, my coaching style is creative and tailored for performers involved in bands, open mic nights, and songwriting sessions. I specialize in genres like Indie Rock, Alt-Pop, and Acoustic Soul, helping artists find their unique voice within these vibrant styles. My lessons focus on lyric writing, vocal texture, stage movement, and mic technique, blending technical skills with emotional storytelling. I believe that connecting deeply with a song’s story is key to delivering a powerful and authentic performance. This approach encourages artists to develop their signature sound with confidence. Each session is designed to nurture both vocal ability and artistic expression. I support singers in exploring their creativity while mastering the tools needed for live performance and recording. Whether working on new material or refining existing songs, I help bring ideas to life. If you want to elevate your music and perform with originality and passion, I invite you to join me. Together, we’ll create performances that resonate and inspire.

My teaching approach centers on storytelling, emotional expression, and vocal character work, bringing songs to life in a vivid and meaningful way. Lessons focus on acting through song, dramatic timing, and building strong stage confidence. These elements help students connect deeply with the music and communicate powerfully to their audience.
I tailor each lesson to fit individual learning speeds, performance levels, and emotional needs. Whether a student is preparing for a church ensemble or pursuing a music degree, I provide personalized support that fosters growth and resilience. Patience and encouragement guide every step of the journey.
My goal is to help singers find their unique voice while mastering the skills needed to perform with authenticity and impact. Together, we explore not only technique but also the emotions behind the music. This process builds both confidence and artistry, inspiring students to excel and express themselves fully.
