About George

In 9 years of tutoring Spanish to over 150 high school and college students, I’ve seen one consistent truth: when students feel heard, they thrive. That’s why my approach is built around real communication and student-centered learning. I start by getting to know you—your goals, interests, and learning preferences—and then tailor lessons that keep you motivated and growing. We work on grammar, sure, but we also practice conversation, build vocabulary through topics that matter to you, and engage with authentic Spanish-language content. That could mean watching a video from Spain, reading a short story from Mexico, or listening to music from Colombia. I also emphasize mindset. So many students I meet feel like they’re behind or “just not good at languages.” But with a patient, encouraging tutor and lessons designed for your pace, you’ll see just how much you’re capable of. One of my favorite experiences was with a student who went from dreading Spanish to writing their own short story by the end of the semester. Spanish isn’t just about passing a class—it’s about unlocking a skill that can open doors for the rest of your life. I’m here to help you take that step.

About the lesson

Teaching Spanish is a deeply rewarding experience that I approach with empathy, clarity, and a commitment to making language learning both practical and enjoyable. I understand that every student comes with unique goals, challenges, and learning preferences, so I create customized lessons that meet you where you are and guide you toward your own success.

Compassion means I patiently support you through difficult concepts and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. I emphasize integrity by focusing on genuine understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation rather than rote memorization, helping you internalize the language’s patterns and logic.

My teaching is adaptable—I incorporate conversation, writing, cultural insights, and multimedia tools to engage different learning styles and keep lessons relevant and interesting. Whether you’re preparing for exams, travel, or professional use, I focus on building practical skills and confidence to help you communicate effectively in real-life situations. By connecting language study to your personal interests, I make Spanish not just an academic subject but a meaningful part of your life.
