About Cat
Hi, I’m Cathrina Morris, and I’m here to help you excel in your academic journey! As a graduate student at Howard University studying sociology, I bring a deep understanding of both political science and social justice issues. My background includes years of professional experience in government relations and political compliance, where I’ve mastered the ability to break down complex information and communicate it clearly.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience as a Division I track and field athlete and All-American. I know what it takes to stay disciplined, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure—skills that are crucial for academic success. I’m also committed to tailoring each lesson to your individual needs, whether you're struggling with a specific topic or just want to boost your confidence.
My goal is to create a learning environment where you feel supported and challenged. Whether you're pursuing a degree in political science, sociology, or just need help with academic writing, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll tackle your academic goals and ensure that you’re prepared for success.

As a tutor, my approach is centered on creating an interactive and engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student! My teaching method involves breaking down complex topics into manageable sections, ensuring students grasp foundational concepts before moving on to more advanced material.
I prioritize active learning, using techniques like Socratic questioning, problem-solving exercises, and real-world applications to help students internalize knowledge. I also employ visual aids, such as charts and diagrams, to reinforce abstract concepts, particularly for visual learners. Regular assessments, like quizzes or practice problems, allow me to gauge progress and adjust the pace accordingly.
I tutor students at various levels, from high school to university, with a focus on political science, sociology, and compliance-related topics. I tailor my lessons to the specific class or degree program the student is enrolled in, ensuring that the content aligns with their academic goals and curriculum requirements.
