About Tonya

Over the years, I’ve worked on real-world projects where I’ve had to debug complex issues, build features from scratch, and translate business ideas into working software. I understand what it feels like to get stuck, confused, or overwhelmed — especially when learning on your own.

That’s why I started mentoring.

I enjoy helping beginners and junior developers bridge the gap between “tutorial knowledge” and actually being able to build and fix real applications confidently.

My focus is simple: make things understandable and practical. I won’t just tell you what to do — I’ll help you understand why it works, so you can do it on your own next time.

Outside of coding, I enjoy creative work and building things from scratch, which is also how I approach teaching — hands-on, practical, and problem-solving focused.

If you’re stuck, trying to build your portfolio, or want to level up your skills, I’d be happy to help.

About the lesson

I’m a software developer with 3+ years of professional experience helping beginners and junior developers understand how to actually build and debug real applications.

My lessons are practical, not theoretical. We focus on what you’re currently stuck on and turn it into working code step by step.

What I can help you with:

* JavaScript fundamentals
* Vue.js & VueX (components, state, routing, real project structure)
* Laravel (APIs, backend logic, database integration)
* Debugging broken code and understanding error messages
* Building real portfolio projects from start to finish
* Helping junior developers improve confidence and job readiness

How lessons work:

* 1:1 live sessions (video call)
* You bring a problem, project, or goal
* I guide you through solving it in real time
* I explain the “why,” not just the “how,” so you can repeat it on your own

Who this is for:

* Beginners who feel stuck or overwhelmed
* Self-taught developers needing structure
* Students building portfolios or school projects
* Junior devs preparing for jobs or interviews
* Advice for related topics

My approach:

I keep things simple, practical, and focused on real-world development. No unnecessary theory — just clear explanations and hands-on progress.
