About Digen

My name is Digendra Rai. I work as a Software Engineer and a part-time teacher. I am so excited to get to know all of you.

I wanted to start by allowing you to learn a little more about me. I graduated from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Andhra Pradesh, with my Master of Technology (Computers) degree in 2018, then went on to work in the industry there afterwards.

I joined as a part-time teacher during the pandemic. This experience enriched me in sharing knowledge and more of acquiring knowledge from the younger generations.

My teaching philosophy is that every seeker should be introduced to the tools they need to establish their own learning style. Because of how important technology is in our world and given my advanced degree, I incorporate technology in the classroom while still leaving plenty of room to celebrate the students' imaginations with specialized activities and hands-on experiences.

As we move ahead in this two-way learning process I look forward to increasing and removing the inhibitions regarding
the factors affecting your learning process.

I want to be the "sharpener" in your life so that the "Pencil" in you never goes blunt and your life gets sharpened and you all write great success stories

1. We will learn through curiosity, joy, affection, and thought.

2. We are all on our own journey but in this class, we all need one another and will help one another grow.

3. We will not regret mistakes and errors. Mistakes are how we learn.

4. We will learn through humility. We will own our mistakes and admit what we don’t know and the limits of what we do.

5. We all have individual geniuses and abilities but we can go farther together than alone. We will strive to understand and leverage this truth.

6. We’re going to learn to question everything in this class. Even these ‘standards’–and standards in general. The word “Why?” is like a lantern and we’ll use it constantly.

7. We will strive to be honest, efficient, and pragmatic. We will use efficient tools, technology, strategies, and sources for learning

8. We can and will learn from anything. As a result, we will always be learning no matter where we are or what we’re doing.

9. We will value affection and knowledge and strive for academic excellence. As "Individual excellence is more important than success".
