About Fernanda
I am a yoga teacher and somatic therapist with a professional background in mental health, mindfulness and nervous-system regulation.
My approach brings together gentle yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, somatic awareness and a compassionate understanding of how stress and life experiences can affect the body.
I believe yoga should be accessible, supportive and responsive to the individual. You do not need to be flexible, experienced or confident to begin. I will meet you where you are and help you develop a practice that feels realistic and meaningful for your life.
My teaching style is warm, calm and gently paced. I provide clear guidance, different movement options and space for you to notice what feels right for your body.
I particularly enjoy supporting beginners, people who feel intimidated by conventional yoga studios, and anyone seeking a gentler way to reconnect with movement, breath and rest.
Sessions can be conducted in English or Portuguese.

My private yoga sessions offer a gentle, personalized alternative to large or fast-paced studio classes.
Each session is adapted to your body, experience, energy and goals. Depending on what you need, your practice may include slow flowing movement, restorative postures, breath awareness, grounding, mindfulness, body awareness and guided relaxation.
My approach is somatic and nervous-system informed. Rather than focusing on flexibility, performance or achieving the perfect pose, I help you develop a more supportive relationship with your body and practice at a pace that feels right for you.
Private sessions may suit you if you:
• are new to yoga and would like individual guidance
• feel uncomfortable or self-conscious in group classes
• are returning to movement after a long break
• are experiencing stress, overwhelm or disconnection from your body
• prefer a slower and more mindful style of yoga
• want a practice tailored to your needs
• would like to practice with a partner, family member or small group of friends
No previous yoga experience or particular level of flexibility is required.
Sessions are available online across Australia or in person in my private space in Matraville, Sydney.
Please let me know before your session if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, managing an injury or living with a health condition. Yoga is a wellbeing and educational practice and does not replace medical, psychological or physiotherapy care.
