About Gabriella
As an educator with hands-on experience in real classrooms, I bring both professionalism and genuine care to every tutoring session. I am currently a student teacher in a third-grade classroom and have worked as a substitute teacher in both Maryland and Pennsylvania, giving me practical, day-to-day experience supporting students of different academic levels, language backgrounds, and learning needs. My academic training—majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education at Penn State University—has prepared me with research-based teaching strategies, particularly in literacy, foundational skills, and supporting English Language Learners. I use these tools every day with my students, helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and grow as readers and writers. You can feel confident learning with me because I believe in creating a safe, patient, and encouraging environment. I take time to understand each student’s individual strengths and needs, and I design lessons that are clear, structured, and adapted to their learning style. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but to make them feel understood, supported, and motivated. Hello! My name is Gabriella, and I’m a soon-to-be graduate of Penn State University with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. I will be graduating in Spring 2026, and I’m currently a student teacher in a third-grade classroom. I’ve also worked as a substitute teacher in both Maryland and Pennsylvania, which has given me experience with students of many ages, learning styles, and backgrounds. I will be a full-time teacher in the fall.
One of my biggest strengths as an educator is my ability to adapt. In my current classroom, I work closely with English Language Learners every day—supporting them with reading, writing, vocabulary development, and translating when needed. This has taught me how to use a variety of strategies to make learning clear, supportive, and accessible for every student.
I specialize in descriptive writing, foundational literacy skills, reading fluency, and building confidence in young learners. I believe in meeting each student right where they are, setting meaningful goals together, and celebrating progress every step of the way. I’m extremely patient, understanding, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, encouraged, and capable.
