About Ella
Hi! I’m a soon to be Law undergraduate who pursued my passion for English literature until A level. As a student, I too used to face the challenges of the subject and my journey to becoming an A* student influenced me to begin helping friends around me. I know it can seem daunting and demanding at first, but I am more than happy to teach students the specific ‘formulas’ for success which turn English literature into a more approachable, enjoyable subject.

I identify and understand each student’s particular areas for improvement and listen to learning needs to tailor lessons to individual styles and academic goals. Lessons are 1 hour and focus on developing strong analytical and writing skills through guided discussion, close textual analysis and regular essay practice questions alongside essay planning. At GCSE level, I achieved grade 9s in both English literature and language and am currently predicted an A* in English literature A level. Thus, I understand what examiners are looking for and incorporate techniques which ensure students are confident in reaching top bands.
