Hello! My name is Calista. I am currently a high school English teacher! As a younger teacher, I bring a lot of energy and creativity to English. I try to make it fun, meaningful, and different by focusing on why we’re learning what we’re learning. I have a background in journalism and a master’s in educational leadership, and I’m passionate about helping students grow and succeed. I’m a big believer in collaborative learning. I like to follow the “I do it, we do it, you do it” model—starting with examples, working through things together, and then giving you the chance to try it on your own. Learning shouldn’t be a solo mission—it should be a team effort.
