About Luz
Hi! I’m a TEFL-certified English and Spanish tutor with a background in children’s advocacy and experience supporting learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. As a first-generation Latina, I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language—especially when your culture and experience aren’t always reflected in the classroom. That’s why I create a welcoming, student-centered environment where learners of all ages feel supported and confident. I specialize in conversational Spanish for children, helping young learners speak naturally and confidently in everyday situations. For English, I offer personalized tutoring in speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation, tailored to your goals and learning style, whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve. Together, we’ll work at your pace to build your language skills with patience, empathy, and encouragement, helping you feel empowered to use your new language in the real world.

I specialize in creating engaging, student-centered lessons designed especially for children, though I’m happy to work with learners of all ages. For Spanish learners—mostly kids—I focus on fun, practical conversational skills that help them speak confidently in everyday situations.
For English, I offer personalized tutoring that covers speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation, tailored to your goals no matter your age or level. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and paced to fit your unique learning style.
Whether you’re a child starting out or an adult looking to improve, I aim to build your confidence and skills in a judgment-free space where learning is enjoyable and meaningful.
