About Aisling

I am a patient teacher who will go above and beyond to ensure my students see major improvements and gain confidence in their Irish.

I have been speaking Irish since the age of 4 and I have level 8 degree in Irish, Spanish and German.

Teaching is a way for me to share my passion for Irish, whether that be with students who already share the same passion or with students who lack confidence in Irish and are hoping to improve for an exam.

I am a strict but non-judgemental person and my main aim is that my students are satisfied with how their classes go each week.

About the lesson

I will cater to the needs of each individual student depending on their strengths/weaknesses.

I am willing to tutor primary school students, secondary schools and adults.

As a previous language student & teacher, I understand not everybody learns and retains information in the same way, therefore I recognise the importance of adapting my teaching style if necessary.

I believe submersion in the language is vital, therefore my classes will consist of lots of communication through Irish (of course, I will ensure everything I say is understood).

As the oral exam counts for 40% of the Irish Leaving Cert exam, this is a major focus in my lessons. However, I am willing to cover written elements of the course also.

Excellent! Aisling has a deep gra for an Gaeilge that she conveys with enthusiasm and clarity in every lesson. She helped our son prepare sample essays across a range of contemporary issues and he enjoyed time spent on this. His whole approach to study and exams changed for the positive based on Aisling's advice and guidance. And for all this, we are deeply grateful.

Perfect! With just a week to go to my Irish oral and just a few lessons with Aisling, my confidence grew massively and I wouldn’t have been able to complete my Irish oral without her help! If you’re looking for someone who will push your abilities in the language and take the time to get to know what you’re struggling with most, I highly recommend starting lessons with Aisling️

My daughter had struggled with Irish and did grinds with Aisling for her junior cert. She felt very confident going into the exam as a result. Aisling is just lovely and nothing was a problem for her. I will be asking her to help my younger daughter when the time comes for her junior cert. I couldn't recommend her enough.

Aisling was recommended to us from a work colleague and called to our house to give tuition.
Aisling has a hands on and personable approach to tutoring. We found Aisling professional and courteous but also determined to get the best performance from Devyn. She quickly got to grips with his strengths and weaknesses and developed the tuition to suit his needs. We recommend Aisling as she is totally invested in getting the best outcome for your child and is a really approachable and genuine person.

Absolutely brilliant. Aisling has a deep gra and enthusiasm for an Gaeilge that rubbed off on my Leaving Cert teen doing higher level Irish. She brings structure and reason to her lessons which not only benefited him with Irish, but also every other subject. Aisling's bespoke material is excellent, and she follows up with a DM summarising key talking points and outlining next steps. Her teaching style is engaging and encourages the student to immerse themselves in the topic.

FYI - did not know Aisling prior to the lessons. Highly recommend Aisling.

I did Irish oral lessons with Aisling in the months leading up to my leaving cert. I didn’t enjoy Irish in secondary school but after a few lessons with Aisling I started to enjoy it more as I could see the improvements. She was organised and I felt like she was genuinely interested in my progress

Aisling gave one to one grinds to both my son and daughter. I would definitely recommend Aisling She really enjoys helping people to improve their Irish and it shows in her work. My son gained a lot of confidence particularly in his oral Irish. She was very professional in her approach, and even gave a last minute extra tuition before the exams.
