About Alissa
Hello, and welcome! My name is Alissa, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their language goals. I hold an advanced TEFL diploma and a postgraduate degree in Social Anthropology, which I completed cum laude. As a published writer with experience tutoring academic writing and reading for university second-year students, I bring a wealth of expertise to my lessons.
I specialize in tutoring students at all levels, from pre-schoolers taking their first steps in English to Grade 12 learners preparing for exams or refining advanced skills. My lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to your unique needs and learning style. Fluent in both English and Afrikaans, I can support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
With a warm and encouraging approach, I aim to create a supportive environment where you feel confident to grow and succeed. Whether you're looking to improve grammar, build vocabulary, enhance conversational fluency, or strengthen academic skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
