About Viktoras
I am a Structural Bridges Engineer and my background is in A-level Mathematics, Physics, English and Lithuanian. Having completed my A-levels, where I attained A* in all the subjects, I studied Engineering at the University of Sheffield and graduated with a 1st class Master's degree. Since university, I have been working as a Bridges Engineer in a major Engineering consultancy.
I am also a native Russian and Lithuanian speaker. One of my university years was spent at the National University of Singapore. Whilst in Singapore, in my spare time, I had an opportunity to teach Russian to a local student and I greatly enjoyed that, therefore I would be happy to offer Russian and Lithuanian tutoring too.
I am a passionate and active STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) ambassador. I have led a number a secondary school (GCSE/A level) STEM projects, where I led and guided groups of pupils to solve complex engineering problems inspired by real world examples. Therefore, I am confident in my abilities not only to communicate the science subjects to children, but also to inspire them.

The key to success when learning a new language is to speak, so we will spend a lot of time speaking Russian :) We will start with something very simple that both of us can understand, and progress gradually.
And there will be a lot of body language involved. I have just returned from whole month journey to China (and I speak no Chinese at all), so I know how a new language can be daunting, but also doable!
Each of my lessons starts with a clear goal and a plan in mind, and we will take our time to be absolutely clear on plan, this is the key to success :)

Viktor has tutored me in Physics in the past, as I was having trouble understanding some concepts related to the topic of vibration of cabble-stayed bridges. I have only studied Science previously, as opposed to Physics, Chemistry and Biology, so it was difficult for me to transition straight into pure Physics.
Viktor has been an excellent tutor to me, explaining everything with great patience and care, until I was sure I understood, which couldn't have been easy, as it was quite a large knowledge gap that he had to fill.
He is an individual who knows a lot about his subject, but also has a great aptitude for teaching and explaining - something that a lot of my teachers didn't have, so I'm very greatful!
YuliaViktor has tutored me in Mathematics recently. He was a great tutor - he explained everything thoroughly and patiently. I admire his enthusiasm and his skill - he is very proficient in Maths, being an Engineer himself and having studied this subject at University, and he knows a lot, but most importantly, he has a great skill of explaining his subject well. This is a skill that is more difficult to find.
Viktor has tutored me Physics in the past, when I had some questions related to vibration of cable-stayed bridges. I found this topic very difficult, having only studied Science (rather than physics as such) previously.
