About Theresa
My certification is in Orton Gillingham as well as four other programs that I have used successfully in the classroom. I have over 30 years’ experience teaching with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on English language learners. Along the way I have taught ELL, Reading, ELA for students in classes from PreK- Adults.

Students build a relationship with me that is also fun. I get to know their strengths and help them see it as well. First, we do word work for Phonological & Phonemic Awareness, Phonics & Word Study. Then we apply vocabulary, and our new skill with Reading Fluency in decodable books and passages. You may sign in and practice at any time after each lesson before we move on.
