When teaching grade school students aged 12 and below, I use engaging and age-appropriate teaching methods that support active learning and development. I incorporate interactive activities such as games, storytelling, and group discussions to keep students interested and involved in the lesson.
I also use visual aids like charts, videos, flashcards, and demonstrations to help students better understand concepts. Whenever possible, I include hands-on activities and simple experiments to encourage exploration and practical learning.
To motivate students, I provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to help build their confidence. I adapt my teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and individual needs, while keeping lessons short, varied, and engaging to match their attention spans.
I also encourage collaborative learning through pair work and group activities to develop communication and teamwork skills. Lastly, I regularly assess students’ progress and provide feedback to support their continuous improvement and learning.
In addition, I have experience tutoring Grade 5 students in the Philippines, which has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and effective communication skills when working with young learners.
