About Terri

I am 22 years old until March 22nd. I have been tutoring for three years and will be graduating next spring and then pursuing a master's degree for education while working in some type of educational setting. I have 5+ years years with working/caring for children. I know different teaching techniques and can accommodate my teaching style for students with learning challenges and IEP's.

About the lesson

My form of tutoring involves communication with the student, instead teaching and asking if they understand the material. I feel that having them talk with me during the lesson is more beneficial to their learning and interactiveness. I also use fun activities (physical and cognitive) to help students understand the lesson. I also allow snacks and 5-15 minute breaks for young students to release enough energy to be able refocus on their school work. I do anything I canto make learning fun for youngs students!
