About Chielo
Hi! I’m a Filipino nursing student currently in my 4th year of nursing school. As a student myself, I understand that learning new concepts can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with difficult nursing topics.
I enjoy helping others learn in a way that is simple, understandable, and easy to remember. I can help students build their confidence in basic nursing concepts while also sharing my knowledge of Tagalog/Filipino language and everyday communication.
I believe that learning should be a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I’m patient, approachable, and happy to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense to you. Whether you are completely new to Tagalog or need help reviewing basic nursing concepts, I’ll do my best to make each lesson useful and suited to your learning needs.

My Approach as a Tutor
I believe that learning is most effective when lessons are clear, practical, interactive, and tailored to the student’s needs. My goal is not only to help students memorize information, but also to help them understand concepts and become confident in using what they have learned.
Teaching Method & Techniques
For Tagalog lessons, I focus on practical communication, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence construction, and everyday conversations. Lessons can be adjusted depending on whether the student wants to learn Tagalog for travel, work, school, or daily communication.
For basic nursing concepts, I use simple explanations, real-life examples, and step-by-step discussions to make complex topics easier to understand. I can incorporate practice questions, case scenarios, review activities, and short quizzes to reinforce learning.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson may include:
1. Quick review – Revisiting key points from the previous lesson.
2. Introduction to the topic– Explaining the new concept in a simple and organized way.
3. Guided learning – Working through examples, questions, or practical situations together.
4. Practice – Applying the lesson through conversation exercises, nursing scenarios, or practice questions.
5. Feedback & correction– Identifying areas for improvement and clarifying difficult points.
6. Summary & next steps– Reviewing the key takeaways and providing suggestions for continued practice.
Lessons are flexible, and I can adjust the pace and materials based on the student's learning style and goals.
What Sets Me Apart
I aim to create a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching strategies to suit their individual needs.
Whether you are struggling with a nursing concept or starting to learn Tagalog from scratch, I focus on making lessons easy to understand, practical, and relevant rather than overwhelming you with unnecessary information.
