About Eve

I recently graduated from Cardiff University with a first in English Literature and History and I am currently studying Cultural Heritage Management at the University of Sheffield. I have a background in tutoring primary school children in literacy and mathematics and have also spent much of my time proofreading and editing friends' work at university and sharing ideas in study groups.

About the lesson

In individual classes, I am happy to give constructive advice on essays, look over and advise on feedback received from teachers or lecturers, help formulate essay plans, and discuss the student's current reading or learning objectives to help them gain a greater understanding of the subject matter. In group classes, I aim to facilitate a seminar-style dialogue between students so that they might help each other understand a text or topic better, with prompts and guidance from myself. I also run writing workshops in which students can understand the mark scheme through peer-marking and improve their tone, grammar, and structure through personalised tutor feedback.

Eve is an incredibly studious academic. When explaining things she is very calm and approaches the issues well, without making you feel lesser. Her knowledge about her studies is well-researched and she always goes above and beyond the recommended reading. Eve is also good-natured and kind, constantly putting the strains of others before herself. I recommend Eve as her amiable charm and conscientious character make her a worthwhile teacher and mentor.
