My tutoring style is student-focused, meaning I adapt each session to suit the student’s learning style, strengths, and areas they’re struggling with. I break down complex ideas into simple, understandable terms and use examples students can relate to. Whether it’s essay writing, close analysis, or exam prep, I make sure each lesson is interactive and engaging — asking questions, working through examples together, and setting small, achievable goals. Sessions usually last 1 hour, but I’m happy to adjust depending on what works best — 45 mins for younger students or longer sessions during exam season. Who the Lessons Are For: - GCSE and A-Level students needing support in English Literature, English Language, Politics, or general essay-based subjects - Students looking for help with essay writing, revision techniques, or exam preparation Teaching Techniques: - Breaking down essay questions and planning arguments - Using past papers and mark schemes to practise exam techniques - Annotating texts together and analysing language closely - Giving clear, constructive feedback - Setting small tasks between sessions to build skills steadily
