About Emily
I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience across both mainstream and special education settings. I hold a degree in Childhood Studies and a PGCE in Primary Teaching, and I currently support primary and secondary students with special educational needs.
I am a creative, adaptable and nurturing teacher who recognises that every learner is different. I tailor my approach to each student’s individual needs, creating a positive, trusting environment where they feel supported, motivated and confident to learn at their own pace and achieve their potential.

I have extensive experience supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, Down syndrome and mild general learning difficulties. I understand that every learner is unique, and I adapt my teaching approach to suit their individual needs, strengths, interests and learning style.
I use a wide range of engaging literacy strategies, technology, practical activities and hands-on resources to make learning accessible and enjoyable. Lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s level and pace, with a focus on building confidence, developing key skills and celebrating progress.
