About Rachel
Hi, I'm Rachel! I am a Monash University student who self-taught Korean to the highest university level without living in Korea. I believe language comes alive through culture, not textbooks. My lessons are built on K-pop, K-dramas, literature, and real conversation, tailored to your goals and learning style. Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for TOPIK, I'll guide you with patience and genuine encouragement.
I don't believe in boring textbooks or endless memorization. I believe in learning through what you love. Whether it's K-pop lyrics, drama dialogues, or deep conversations about history and literature, my lessons are designed to feel natural, engaging, and personal. I meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be, at your own pace, with no pressure.
Let's start your Korean journey together!

I’m so grateful to have found and joined Rachel’s class. It has truly helped me gain the confidence to break the language barrier with my Korean friends. Rachel’s modules are easy to follow and have made it simple for me to start practicing and communicating in Korean. Thanks to her class, I can now enjoy K-dramas and K-pop with a much deeper connection. Rachel 선생님, 감사합니다!
Rachel is a very experienced and supportive tutor. She has clearly taught me fast to understand the basic Korean phrase. Book lesson multiple time to help me with my assignment.
Rachel mentored my psychology in my first year. at the time i was pretty new to all this psych info and details and at uni the reading content was very unexpectedly heavy, Rachel helped a lot with not just content explanation but time management, study skills and tips.

The first lesson is mainly a get-to-know for you and me, where we might do a little level test, have a conversation about what you are interested in, your motivations, expectations, and goals; to ensure I am able to support you to achieve those goals.
I love teaching in bigger groups so call a friend along and get 10% for each of you!
