About Megan Marie
An avid reader since age 4, I have always gravitated towards stories and believe the ability to read and write and create art is what sets us apart as a species. I'm a graduate of San Francisco State University with a BA in Theater and have worked professionally as a storyteller, editorial writer, editor, and tutor for the last 11 years in Los Angeles.

Only 45% of today's students are functionally literate; reading comprehension rates in our schools are down. As a tutor I strive for more than just competency on standardized tests with a focus on fostering students' innate curiosity and creative thought. I meet students where they are at and through an understanding of the individual develop a personalized action plan that excites for maximum knowledge retention and engagement.
